GET TO KNOW ME

A Licensed Professional Here to Help Your Family

As a child and teen, I struggled with behavior problems, academic issues, ADHD, divorced parents, and family discord. I believe that these life experiences have given me a deep understanding of what many

children and teens with similar issues are going through. It gives me tremendous satisfaction and joy to see these children and their families improve and succeed in ways they might not have believed were

possible.

I consider myself very charismatic by nature which I find is often a very effective way to elicit an individual's inner strength to believe in themselves. By projecting unwavering and unconditional acceptance an atmosphere of trust is built and children and teenagers can begin to shift their attitudes and make changes needed to succeed. One of my strongest attributes is humor, which helps to break down communication barriers, lower anxiety, and illicit more positive emotional states.

I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento CSUS in 2003. I then returned to earn my Masters of Science in MFCC (Marriage, Family and Child Counseling) from CSUS in 2008.

I have been providing therapy services for children, teenagers, and adults since 2007 in a variety of settings such as San Juan Unified School District counseling center working with students in all grades,

Sacramento County contracted children’s mental health clinic, and Sutter Health’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

I have extensive experience with ADHD, behavior management, parent management training,

I was born and raised in Northern California. My wife, a pediatric occupational therapist, and I have been together since 2004. We married in 2007 and have two young children.
